Yes, both radios must be programmed with your licensed frequencies before use. You'll be asked at checkout whether you'd like programming, or you can add it in advance via our Atlantic Radio Programming Services page. To program them yourself, you'll need the Motorola CPS 2.0 software (HKVN4362A) and the PMKN4010B USB programming cable, both sold separately.
What is the difference between the XPR5550e and XPR5580e?
