High-duty-cycle VHF and UHF digital/analog channel modules enabling two independent channels inside a single 2U repeater chassis.
The Icom URFR5300 (VHF: 136–174 MHz) and Icom URFR6300 (UHF: 330–400, 400–470, 450–512, 450–520 MHz) are optional RF channel expansion modules designed specifically for Icom IC-FR5300 and IC-FR6300 series IDAS digital repeaters. Installing a secondary URFR5300 or URFR6300 module into the internal expansion bay doubles system channel capacity, allowing two independent RF repeaters to operate side-by-side within a single 19-inch 2U rack-mount housing.
Engineered on Icom's advanced CPU/FPGA hardware platform, each channel module delivers up to 50 Watts of RF output power at 50% duty cycle or 25 Watts continuous at 100% duty cycle. Both modules support digital/analog mixed-mode operation across 32 memory channels, decoding up to 16 CTCSS tones, DTCS codes, or digital Radio Access Numbers (RAN) per channel. When combined with the optional UC-FR5300 network controller board, the Icom URFR5300 and URFR6300 seamlessly integrate into multi-site conventional networks, Type-D digital trunking systems, or high-stability IDAS digital simulcast configurations. Supported under FCC Licensing standards and DMR Association protocols, these modules provide a compact, cost-effective upgrade path for expanding commercial and public safety base stations.
